About the project
Ann's bedroom started as a small room trying to do too many things at once — sleep, study, storage, and somewhere that actually felt like hers. The revamp brief was straightforward: more light, more openness, cosy and chic, with a moment of colour to make it personal. We worked the whole concept out in 3D first, so the family could walk the room and sign off every detail before a single piece of joinery hit the workshop.

235 sq ft means every decision has to earn its place. We built the TV unit, the floating desk, the bookshelf, and the reading nook straight into the walls — so the loose furniture footprint stays tiny and the room reads as one continuous piece of joinery. A pared-back palette throughout, with brass and a single mustard accent doing the warm-tone work. The geometry of the walls follows the building's existing angles, so the room never feels boxed in.
