About the project

A studio apartment for a bachelor — built to entertain now, scale to two later. The starting space worked against itself: awkward partitions, a kinked kitchen, and no real storage. We rebuilt 1,200 sq ft into a home that actually fits the way one person lives in it.

We took down the partitions that weren't earning their keep — the apartment now reads as one continuous space, zoned softly instead of hard-walled. The kitchen's awkward corner became a feature: an IKEA modular system hugs the existing geometry instead of fighting it. Storage is integrated into the joinery throughout, so the space stays uncluttered. At the bedroom, a single step up marks the threshold to the bathroom — separating wet and sleep zones without closing the open plan back down.
